Grill Table to Garden Table: Easy Conversion
From garden table to grill table in minutes: how the Buqon DINE converts. Grill insert, wood panel, or ice tray – switch flexibly for any occasion.
The Buqon garden table with grill can be used both with and without the grill insert. Converting to a table with an integrated grill insert is incredibly simple and can be done by a single person. Below you'll find a step-by-step guide on how to best convert your wooden outdoor DINE table into a garden table with a grill in the middle.
1. Remove the Left Side Panel
The first step is to lift out the three middle sections of the table. It's best to start on one side and work your way to the other. Lift the left outer section at the outer edge of the table and set it aside.
2. Remove the Center Panel
After the first panel, lift out the middle wooden section of the table. This works just like the first one. This is the area where the grill insert will later be placed.
3. Remove the Right Side Panel
Finally, the last wooden cover is removed. Don't worry, the two outer wooden panels will be reinserted after the grill pans are placed.
4. Insert the First Grill Pan
The first part of your table grill is inserted with the largest pan. Place the pan roughly in the center. In total, the Buqon DINE garden table with grill has three pans. This serves multiple purposes. The outermost pan serves as heat protection — after all, no one should burn their legs under the table. The second pan catches drippings, and the innermost third pan holds the charcoal.
Once the first grill pan is inserted, reattach both side panels that you removed at the beginning. If you have an ice bucket for your Buqon DINE table, feel free to choose whether to place it to the left or right of the grill. The trim on the short edge of the table determines the final position of the pan.
5. Insert the Second Grill Pan
Dripping fat and other liquids in the charcoal? That's every griller's nightmare. That's why the second pan has a special function: it acts as a drip tray for the fat and water released during grilling of vegetables, fish, and meat. Insert the second pan and make sure it's correctly positioned.
6. Insert the Third Grill Pan
Finally, the third and final pan is inserted into the table. This serves as the container for the charcoal. Your garden table is now easily converted into a grill table!
7. Fill Charcoal & Heat the Grill
We recommend using briquettes for the Buqon DINE grill. Heat them best with a chimney starter, directly in the third pan. The chimney starter keeps the charcoal together, preventing the table itself from getting any embers. Alternatively, you can heat your charcoal outside the pan on a fireproof surface in the chimney starter and then slowly and carefully pour it into the pan.
Distribute the coals once they're hot enough with a fireproof ladle in the pan, so that the heat is evenly released upward to the grate.
8. Place the Grill Grate
Now it's time to place the grill grate. Use gloves when handling hot coals. Make sure the grill grate sits evenly and securely — this ensures food doesn't fall into the coals and fat drains into the designated drip pan.
9. Your Garden Table with Grill Is Ready: Let the Grill Party Begin!
The coals are hot, the table is set. Now all that's left is to prepare the food, chill the drinks, welcome your guests, take a seat, and start grilling.
The entire conversion from garden table to grill table takes less than 10 minutes. So fulfill your dream of a convertible garden table with grill today and configure your Buqon DINE table with integrated grill insert.
